Next week is National Volunteers week which takes place 1st – 7th June every year. It’s a chance for us to celebrate and say thank you for the contribution all our volunteers make throughout the year.

Although it’s more important than ever for us to recognise and support volunteers, sadly due to the current restrictions of Covid-19, we’re unable to to go ahead with many of the things we’d usually do around this time including hosting our annual volunteers thank you party.

It was a difficult decision to make and one that was not made lightly but our priority is to keep our staff and volunteers safe during these difficult times.

Instead, along with many other charities, we have decided to "Cheer for our Volunteers", so we hope that on 1st June 2020 at 8pm you will join us from our doorsteps or wherever you may be and clap and cheer for all of the wonderful volunteers who support charities like ourselves all throughout the year and during times of crisis.

You can follow the Cheer for our Volunteers campaign on Facebook and Twitter too!

Please encourage others to join in by sharing news on your own social media. The hashtag is #CheersforVolunteers and #VolunteerWeek
