Following the recent announcement by the Prime Minister about the lifting of some Covid lock down restrictions, we would like to clarify that our priority remains the health and safety of staff, volunteers and service users and we have therefore taken the decision to take a cautious approach with regard to the operation of our centre and services for at least another month.
Our centre on Beverley Road in Hull will be open to the public to respond to queries or drop off/collect items however we ask that where possible people make an appointment by calling us on 01482 342297. Visitors will be asked to wear face coverings and sanitise on entry.
Our Day Groups have been operating on a reduce capacity over recent weeks however they will return to their usual format as from Monday 26th July. Service users will still be required to wear face masks whilst travelling on our vehicles and moving around the centre. Face masks can be removed when seated and social distancing will still be encouraged. We will however not be accepting any new referrals to our Day Groups until September 2021.
Our Resource Centre will gradually increase it’s opening hours (currently 9am to 4pm Mondays & Wednesdays) however visits will be by appointment only and visitors will be required to wear face masks.
Our Community Advice Officers will undertake home visits where needed however will carry out pre-visit checks and wear face coverings and social distance where possible.
At present only our SocialEYES Tennis and Outdoor Exercise sessions are operating however we will begin to restart additional activities in the coming weeks with some adaptations where required.
Our online services including Talking Tech, Speakers Corner, Esme's friends and our online SocialEYES quizzes will also continue to take place. If you would like to attend or take part in any of these activities, or if you need support, please get in touch. Call us on 01482 342297 or email [email protected]
Our telephone lines remain open Monday - Friday from 9am - 5pm. If you need urgent support, please call us on 01482 342297 or email [email protected]
We continue to limit the number of staff and volunteers within our centre by combining home working with office based working on a rota system. Staff and volunteers will continue to wear masks when moving around the centre, observe social distancing and undertake regular lateral flow tests in an effort to keep us all as safe as possible.
Thank you and please stay safe.
