An extraordinary art exhibition showcasing the inspiring works of children with visual impairments will open in Hull on Saturday, 15th February 2025 offering the public a unique opportunity to experience the boundless creativity and talent of these young artists. The exhibition will run for one week at Pop Up Gallery 1-2 Pier Street, Hull HU1 1ZA, providing an inclusive and heartwarming cultural experience for all visitors.
The exhibition offers an exciting experimental body of work relating to the theme The Yorkshire Coast featuring boats, fish, fossils, inflatables, sand, and more.
Organized by Sight Support Hull and East Yorkshire in partnership with Square Peg, Hull , the show aims to bring a sensory experience of the beach to Pier Street during the February Half Term with FREE supporting drop in art workshops open to everyone.
Vicky Day, Children and Families Support Officer at Sight Support, shared her excitement about the event: “This exhibition is a testament to the incredible creativity and resilience of these young visually impaired artists. It’s a celebration of diversity, inclusion, and the power of art to connect us all.”

This inspiring exhibition is part of Project Insight supported by the Ideas Fund and working with researchers from Hull University to identify factors which impact on the mental health and wellbeing of children with sight loss.
