Sight Support Hull & East Yorkshire celebrates GivingTuesday with a special appeal, joining millions around the world participating in the global generosity movement on November 28, 2023

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world. GivingTuesday will kick off the generosity season this year by inspiring people to give back on November 28, 2023, and throughout the year.

This year Sight Support is aiming to raise funds to keep its telephone lines open to ensure anyone with sight loss in Hull and East Yorkshire is able to contact them when they need support.

“It costs around £3,000 each year to keep our telephone lines open but they provide a vital lifeline to anyone needing our help and support as well as enabling us to provide crucial advice and help whenever needed,” explains Alison Stannard Operations Manager. “We simply could not support the thousands of local people we do without access to our telephone lines.”
