The Beech Holme Tandem Club is based at Sight Support, Beverley Road, Hull and was formed in about 1952 by a group of cyclists from the Cyclists Touring Club so that blind back riders could enjoy the pleasures of cycling through the countryside with sighted front riders.

The club meets each Wednesday evening and follows a set runs list to various East Riding villages. The main season runs from the beginning of April through to October and informally through the rest of the year.

Some of the places they have visited include:

The Blue Bell, Old Ellerby

Triton, Brantingham

Bay Horse, Lelley

Woolpack, Beverley

Black Horse, Little Weighton

Bear, South Cave

Half Moon, Skidby

Back up is provided by a Sight Support minibus and sighted members of the club who do all they can to make your ride as safe and interesting as possible

As with all such organisations, membership numbers fluctuate and there is always a requirement for new members (both front and back riders) as well as people to provide assistance. Anybody who is ready, willing and able to help either as a rider, or to provide support and back up would be most welcome and should contact any of the following:
